Aller Aqua Qingdao certified for BAP

Dec 2023 is another milestone for Aller Aqua Qingdao. Certified by Intertek, the factory obtained Best Aquaculture Practices (BAP) certification for the feed mill after 6 months of preparatory work and audit process. With the certificate, we can strengthen our customers’ competence to enter high-end retail chains and food service companies worldwide, delivering safe and responsible aquaculture products to more consumers around the world.

To ensure safe aquaculture products are cultured and processed in an environmentally and socially responsible manner, one major feature of BAP certification program is a chain-of-custody traceability process. In its certification standards for feed mills, there are clear source certification traceability requirements for sustainability of key raw materials (fishmeal, fish oil, soybean meal, etc.).

The BAP certification program addresses the four key areas of responsible seafood—environmental, social, food safety, and animal health & welfare—at each step of the aquaculture production chain. It is recognized and trusted by 150+ retail and food service companies worldwide.
