Bayrise Fish Farm in Lake Victoria, Kenya partners up with Aller Aqua
The all-rounded aquaculture solution provider in Kenya taps into the fish feed distribution sector.

Bayrise Fish Farm is located in Sori Bay, a town on the banks of the abundant Lake Victoria and has been operating since 2018.
Only recently, Bayrise and Aller Aqua partnered to provide high-quality fish feed to farmers in the region.
Bayrise supports an out-grower program for small farmers, which provides critical farm inputs to help them succeed.
The program includes the supply of fingerlings, Aller Aqua's feed, training sessions to strengthen farmers' technical skills as well as aggregation, market linkage, and off-take arrangements via Bayrise's cold chain infrastructure to prevent post-harvest losses.
''The Kenyan aquaculture sector is characterised by its highly fragmented production and market structure. Small farmers face difficulties in running their businesses and effectively competing against big-sized farmers in the marketplace. What is more, the market demand for fish is high but the local production is low,’’ says Alfred Achar, Managing Director, and founder of Bayrise.
