Aller Aqua is proudly the founding gold sponsor of the African Chapter of the World Aquaculture Society (WAS/AC). Our dedication is evident through our key resources and investments directed towards the sustainable development of aquaculture in Africa. Today, Aller Aqua operates two factories in Africa, Egypt and Zambia, and employs more than 300 people. They provide high-quality fish feeds and extend technical and business support to fish farmers in more than 20 countries across Africa.
Our commitment extends beyond manufacturing and support. We provide solutions to foster sustainable aquaculture development in Africa, such as our initiative to empower smallholder farmers by offering them farm management tools and extension services. We seek impactful collaborations, such as our partnership with IDH to train and support over 400 farmers in Kenya to support a sustainable aquaculture industry.
Ole Haubro, our Sales Director for Africa, emphasizes, “We are not only sponsors but partners in the journey towards a thriving aquaculture industry in Africa. We share knowledge and provide support to enable our farmers to grow together. Receiving this award is not only an honour; it fuels our commitment to continue to be at the forefront of providing solutions to farmers in Africa”.
