Supporting fish farmers

To support fish farmers across the region, we are building a dedicated vocational training centre. This centre will strengthen the knowledge of fish farmers across the spectrum, from subsistence farmers through to experienced professionals. The custom-designed specialist facility will be staffed by an expert training team who will develop a contextualized curriculum covering themes such as fish husbandry, fish nutrition and business management. Learning will be delivered through practical work at the demonstration ponds, computer-facilitated learning in the computer lab and traditional teaching methods.

Through our partners we are extending the availability of fish farming supplies and professional extension services throughout Zambia. Each outlet is staffed by qualified aquaculture professionals with extensive training in fish feed and farming practices. These professionals are available to provide advice to fish farmers across the country and to perform farm visits.
